Spyderco Assist: a complete first-aid package!

The Spyderco Assist made a very coherent impression when we first picked it up.

The thick handle provides excellent grip, with or without gloves, thanks to its spidery relief.

The famous "Spydie hole" in the blade makes it easy to deploy the blade with one hand, and the blade has an additional thumb rest.

The blade is 80% serrated for maximum efficiency on ropes and safety belts. The blade's flat tip allows safe approach without injury or damage.

The knife is also designed to cut a rope, between the handle and the blade, by pressure.

What's more, when the blade is closed and further compressed against the handle, a tungsten-tipped glass breaker tip is released. Clever.

The handle also incorporates a whistle, which works perfectly.

The pocket clip is made of reversible stainless steel.

All in all, Spyderco offers a first-aid knife that seems very accomplished, extremely well built as the brand knows how to do, solid and easy to use.

A real success.
